Greenland is the largest island in the world and well-known for their colossal glaciers. Svalbard is a breeding ground for many seabirds. Other animals that can be spotted here are polar bears, reindeer and the Arctic fox. Svalbard is largely untouched, yet a fragile and natural environment.
My time spent in Greenland and Svalbard was very brief, but it was also two of the most beautiful and interesting countries that I have visited. With being very isolated, the locals have a unique and different way of living, compared to myself. They are completely cut off from the real world and only use the local, family run services around their islands to buy food and supplies. They mainly work as fisherman, sailing to bigger islands to sell their fish to make a living.
